This is a paid position. Wages depend on experience and we are happy to accept volunteers too. You will be co-ordinating local operations usually at the provincal level but may be in charge of surrounding areas as well.
Photography for Change
Help fundraise by donating your photography royalties to Free a Child. Past photographs have been donated by renowned photographers. The Photography for Change campaign will launch in 2018. Be a part of this campaign!
Public Relations and Marketing
This is a volunteer position that will assist with media coverage, press releases, developing a PR and marketing plan, and building and maintaining media contacts. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills with experience in public relations and marketing. Time commitment will be based on availability.
This is a volunteer position that will work with the Director Lisa Wong. Persons in this position will research potential funding sources (private and governmental) write letters of inquiry, proposals, and develop funding requests. This person must have excellent writing skills and previous experience writing grants.
This is a volunteer position that will assist Free A Child with the online newsletter along with other communications, alerts and updates. This person must possess excellent writing, editing, proofreading and grammatical skills. Should be proficient in Word. Some knowledge of and comfort with using web technology is helpful.
Host a Party
Help raise public awareness and donations for Free A Child. Invite friends, family and customers to your home, bar, restaurant or other business to learn more about Free A Child. Watch a short video on Free A Child and child trafficking. Parties can happen at any location and a packet with information will be sent to the host with instructions. Free A Child team members may be able to attend parties with advance notice.
Your priority will be visiting near by impoverished areas, interviewing potential recipients and contacting schools and other education facilites. You’ll also be assisting with mailing, data entry, putting together informational packets, emailing, social media, copying, typing and other general office work. Ability to speak English and some of the local language is highly valued, we encourage all team members to attend local language lessons and can sometimes arrange classes for free.
We encourage all new volunteers to attend a volunteer training session.
